Buzzerelio terms of use
Last updated: 2026-10-06
Buzzerelio is a buzzer for quiz nights made by Tekartik. By hosting or joining a game you agree to the terms below.
The service
Buzzerelio lets a host create a game, players join it with a code or a QR code, everyone press a buzzer from their own device, and the host see who buzzed first, keep the scores and show the results. It is provided as is, free of charge, and may change, pause or stop at any time. Tekartik does its best to keep it running, without guaranteeing it: a game may be lost, a buzz may arrive late, do not rely on it for anything that matters more than a quiz night.
Your games
A game is open to anyone who has its code while the code is valid: share the code and the QR code only with the people you want in the game. The host controls the game, its rounds and its scores, and may remove a player. Games close by themselves after a week and are deleted with their results fifteen days later.
Your name
You pick the name and initials the other players see. Pick something that offends nobody and impersonates nobody; a host may remove a player who does not.
Privacy
What Buzzerelio stores and why is described in the privacy policy. There is no account: the app signs you in anonymously.
Liability
To the extent the law allows it, Tekartik is not liable for any loss coming from the use of Buzzerelio or from its unavailability, including the loss of a game, of its scores or of its results.
Changes
These terms may change as the app evolves; the date above says when. The current version is always the one published with the app.
